Workshop Facilities

WGM Engineering have a state of the art service centre which incorporates a pump & motor test facility to consolidate and give added value to any mechanical repair work undertaken.

Our facilities, listed below and experienced workforce enable us to undertake reclamation work upto a value of 25 ton in weight with a machining capacity up to 50” diameter and 5 metres in length.

BEARINGS

Our engineering excellence and expertise have enabled the SKF bearing manufacturer to award us with their *SKF Rebuilder Partnership” . Along with their own research and development team this enables us to overcome many common and not so common failures to give our customers heightened performance and longevity to bearing, seals and equipment life.

Our extensive workshop facilities allow us to undertake all forms of mechanical repairs/manufacture in PUMPS, VALVES, TRANMISSIONS, GEARBOXES etc.

* Only the second such award in Scotland.

  • Pressure testing to 10,000 psi hydraulic
  • Lapping machines up to 16"
  • Independent electrical testing facilities upto 250kw
  • Water backed spray booth

WGM Pump Test Tank
WGM's on-load test facility consists of two independent test systems each accommodating various discharge sizes. See separate services section on pump test tank.

Grit Blasting
Grit blast all metal surfaces to achieve ISO 8501-1 Swedish standard of cleanliness SA2.5 SIS 05 5900 and to minimum depth profile of 75 microns.
